Order of The Paw: Special Presentation II
Once again, I have created a special suite of images that go beyond most of the artwork I've done to this date. This is a tribute especially created for Memorial Day. Though it is mostly marked as the unofficial start of summer, it is a holiday established to honor those who fought and died for this country. Also, I suppose this is also a tribute of sorts to my cat-girls...or at least portray them with the spirit that I envision my feline creations should possess.
Again I opted to post images of the individual creations in addition to the main image.
"In Memory of Fallen Heroes - Past, Present and Future"
Below are the links to the pictures, with notes accompanying each one.
"In Memory..." - This is the main picture, depicting the three cat-girls. My goal was to create noble, rugged cat-girls and as such tried to make them as un-glamourous as possible. In addition, I endeavored to create them as normal, everyday soldiers (as opposed to super equipped elite forces).
Past Kitty - I tried my best to depict her outfit and equipment as accurately as I could. She's carrying an M-1 Thompson sub-machinegun and if you look closely at her collar you can see her rank insignia. Probably the only time you'll see on of my cat-girls smoking, but it fits with the image I was trying to create.
Present Kitty - I'm quite pleased with how her M-16 turned out - finally putting that book on small arms to good use. =) Initially I envisioned her in desert camo, but I opted for the gray pattern instead.
Future Kitty - I restrained myself a bit in creating this cat-girl. I had fun designing her armor and I'm pleased with the coloring on it as well. Her armor is completely unblemished, though her U.S. insigina on her shoulder is a bit scratched up.
